I'm a therapist who loves hiking.

The outdoors is a powerful way to facilitate the therapeutic process. Nature and adventure therapy provide an opportunity for individuals seeking an integrative treatment approach. These therapies are known to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma. Most of the time, many implement strategies from these therapies without realizing it, but they can feel the benefits it brings to their mental health. 


I created HIKING IS MY THERAPY to share stories of others who find that hiking is their therapy. The goal is for readers to self-reflect on how to improve their mental health experience on the trail. Sharing your story will allow readers to understand their challenges and how they can cope better using adventure and nature therapy strategies.
